Welcome Host Volunteer

We want every visitor to our Covent Garden building to know who we are, what we do, and how they can enjoy our performances, events, tours, exhibitions, shop, café, restaurants and more! You can lead the conversation so that every visitor feels welcomed and included, no matter their background.

New volunteer induction day: (you must be able to attend this session)

• Sunday 23 February 2025, 10:00-16:30 in person at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden

Schedule and commitment

• Can you volunteer 2 to 4 sessions per month for a period of 6 months?
• You can book sessions flexibly using our scheduling app!
• Sessions available from Monday to Sunday, morning to evening. We are particularly looking for volunteers for Saturdays and Sundays.
• Most sessions last between 1.5 to 3.5 hours.

Who are we looking for? Everyone is welcome, no matter your background or experience. 1 in 4 of our volunteers had never visited the Royal Opera House before they applied!

We particularly encourage you to apply if you identify as disabled or from a Global Majority background as these groups are underrepresented in our organisation.
